NFL Try-outs
After the tragic loss of Jeopardy host Alex Trebek, there has been a lengthy audition process for those the producers deem qualified to fill the enormous shoes of Trebek. The most recent and most popular has been Aaron Rodgers, who finishes his second week on Jeopardy tonight. Many people are pulling for Rodgers to take on hosting Jeopardy in a more permanent way, but with that comes some complications and other hosts angling for the job. No matter who you have picked to be the next host, from Star Trek’s Lavar Burton to quarterback Aaron Rodgers, one this is sure, Americans love a good quiz show.
Gameshows Are an American Past-Time
Whether you enjoy a bout of trivia from an app on your phone, at your neighborhood watering hole, or watching it on television, it has been a part of American pop culture since the 1930’s, and it all started with the radio show Information Please. The art of the quiz show has gotten better over time, namely, after the industry ridded itself of high-profile fraud. In 1958 the US Congress investigated the show Twenty-One, where contestant Charles Van Doren won $104,500 in a rigged series of games against Herb Stempel.
I digress. Game shows have brought the country through some difficult times as a source of constancy in uncertain times. This is no different than today, we find ourselves in the midst of all different battles for many different reasons, but a fair competition between individuals based on their knowledge base bridges the social divides in an honest way.
We Will Bring the Gameshow to You
At Event Game Shows we understand that enjoying a night out (or night in) playing games is a past time that gives us a break from the rest of life that seems to constantly whirl around us. From remote games with friends and colleagues across the country, to in person events at your office, Event Game Shows has the professional comedian hosts and everything you need to step into a real gameshow wherever you want it to be.
Fun Virtual Event Ideas
Bringing the energy and fun of a gameshow into the office is a great way to shake up the monotony of returning back to work. Getting the office together for virtual corporate gameshows promotes inclusivity and a safe connection for colleagues that may otherwise have little connection to those they work next to on a daily basis. As team building can be tough to do, especially remotely, we can help with that, by offering a selection of remote possibilities for your company to virtually get together on a secure connection and for them to win real money!
Game shows in America have been around for almost 100 years, and it seems like they are here to stay. At Event Game Shows, we keep the time-honored tradition of game shows for audiences of 10 or 10,000, and we have great fun doing it. If you are looking to bring your team together for a break from the monotony, enjoy great games, and win real cash, give us a call or leave your information here and we will get back to you with all the information you need to let us throw your next event.
